The site or articles I am going to introduce is a discussion site for special Education teachers to help each other explore the usage of Web 2.0 in the process of integrating students into the area of the usage of online tools that are 2 way. These sites can be used to collaborate with Teachers that have used sites and ideas or a forum to introduce ideas that you are exloring. Sites like this can help introduce Special Ed. and Regular Ed. Teachers to as Josh Hallet explains it, easy to use online tools that can create and publish a common content that enables people to see and share...These types of tools open a whole new concept to Inclusion, these tools create a higher adoption rate, that helps to empower the user and kick starts relationships with the benefit of the online talk and interaction. Most special education students have a low self esteem and getting them to share in an inclusion setting is often difficult and painful. The annonimity of online collaboration can be of benefit in enabling interaction without face to face contact.

I am bringing this website to my blog to show how much security and disclosure procedures are needed in Special Education. My hope or idea is to incorporate web 2.0 in theSpecial Education process. This site is a Special Education Teachers window into new Laws and Procedures, with Laws changing so quickly and FERPA (safety of confidentiality) being of such importance in the IEP process it is of major importance that the IEP team leader not only follow these ever changing laws but be up to date on every change.
