Inclusion Revolution

The site or articles I am going to introduce is a discussion site for special Education teachers to help each other explore the usage of Web 2.0 in the process of integrating students into the area of the usage of online tools that are 2 way. These sites can be used to collaborate with Teachers that have used sites and ideas or a forum to introduce ideas that you are exloring. Sites like this can help introduce Special Ed. and Regular Ed. Teachers to as Josh Hallet explains it, easy to use online tools that can create and publish a common content that enables people to see and share...These types of tools open a whole new concept to Inclusion, these tools create a higher adoption rate, that helps to empower the user and kick starts relationships with the benefit of the online talk and interaction. Most special education students have a low self esteem and getting them to share in an inclusion setting is often difficult and painful. The annonimity of online collaboration can be of benefit in enabling interaction without face to face contact.

  1. I think the is a need to explore collaboration tools for inclusion students is very real. When the communication between Special Ed and regular teachers is inadequate, it is an exceptionally difficult to meet the needs of students who have specific accommodations and additional needs. You present a simple, yet effective way to address this issue. Thanks for articles and sites.

  2. Did you link to these site? These tools can help many students to have a voice who in the past either were too shy or afraid to speak up. You may find that many of these students will blossom when they start using these tools.
